Nearly 4 am on Monday (19th), the police received a report from a passer-by, stating that a water pipe burst and a fire broke out outside of Wong Tai Sin SKH Kidd Primary School.
The fire rushed to put out the fire, and the police notified the Water Supplies Department to send officers to turn off the water switch. It was initially believed that a salt water pipe connecting the school wall to the ground had burst.
It was seen at the scene that after the water pipe burst, a powerful water column about 3 meters high from the ground was sprayed horizontally to the pedestrian road and road about 20 meters away, flooding part of the road facing Tai Shing Street and Caihong Road; there was a wooden bench next to the water pipe. The piles of burnt paper skins also showed blackening marks on the school walls. It is not ruled out that the water pipes were burned to burst after the paper skins caught fire. However, the fire department believes that there is no doubt at first, and the actual cause of the fire remains to be investigated.
