Today we are witnessing the emergence of a different future, a moment of change, in the history of relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Israel.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding follows on from the peace agreement signed at the White House with the support of President Donald Trump, and it reflects the willpower for the realization of peace between the two countries.
Personally, I did not imagine that I would see this reality so quickly, which fills me, as a citizen of Bahrain, with great pride.
I hope that in these words I will be able to convey to readers the meaning of the signing of the agreement for the citizens of Bahrain, who have believed all these years that cultures are built on love, culture and education, full trust and mutual relations.
For many decades we have not been able to bridge the rift created by politics, nor did we believe it would be cured.
But today I am excited and proud to publish these things to the many readers of "Israel Today", and to convey the message that from now on, we look to the future and see the developing relationship and the full and unique cooperation between us in many areas: tourism, economy, technology and security.
There is no doubt that together we will record great successes that will leave a fingerprint of the two countries, Bahrain and Israel, not only on their borders - but on the whole world and on all levels.

We all call on the Palestinian people to choose a leadership that can advance its interests in a moral and correct way, in order to guarantee the rights of the two peoples - the Palestinian and the Israeli.
It is a pity for the time lost, and it is unnecessary to call the peacemakers and their supporters "traitors."
It is clear that a comprehensive reform is needed in the Palestinian House, and the Hamas terrorist organization must understand that its continued support and enjoyment of the protection of Iran and the Muslim Brotherhood in Qatar and Turkey is detrimental to the entire Palestinian people.
It is also important to understand that a people will not be able to move forward without a peace strategy with its neighbors and friends.

Right now, in my estimation, Iran, Hezbollah and the Muslim Brotherhood will want to show muscle, and pile up difficulties in our path.
Despite this, I am sure that the two countries, Israel and Bahrain, are strong enough to repel their enemies and provoke them, because there is no room for an extremist ideology.
The axis of evil in the Middle East will disappear in due course.
Whole decades of not accepting the other have yielded no results other than instability and strengthening terrorist organizations.
But the reality today has changed, and the first change is to begin in our homes, in educating our children for the acceptance of the different, for mutual respect, for the emphasis and construction of the common rather than the separating, and no less important - a struggle for extremism.
At the end of the day, history will remember the brave and heroic people who made peace and invented a new Middle East - His Majesty Hamad bin Issa al-Khalifa, UAE Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed, the Honorable President Donald Trump and the Honorable Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu.
