Chen Weiqiang, vice president of the Hong Kong Pest Control Practitioners Association, said that in general, the more common bees in Hong Kong include honeybees, wasps, or wasps, branched wasps, etc. However, most of them are wasps that actively attack people.

The life cycle of a wasp is the next year. After mating in autumn and winter, the queen bee will spend the winter. From February to March, bees will be born and the nest will be built. The size of the nest depends on the degree of fertilization. Autumn is the most critical period. Vespas are eager to protect their nests, so they are also the most aggressive.

When there is abnormal movement or abnormal noise within nearly ten meters of the hive, the wasp's "recon bee" will dispatch to inspect the situation. Once it thinks there is an enemy, it will call the "attack bee" to dispatch the enemy.

When they attack, they will move in groups until the enemy moves away from the hive.

Since the colony needs to protect the hive, they will not leave too far.

Chen Weiqiang reminded mountain hikers not to shout loudly and slapping the grass with hiking sticks or other objects; tomb sweepers should also be aware that the smoke from burning clothes paper will attract wasps attacks; and wear clothing that is too bright.

When encountering one or two bees approaching or flying close to the body, do not move them away with your hands, otherwise they may be regarded as an aggressive behavior and the swarm will be attacked.

If you are attacked by a bee colony, you can cover your head with clothes and squat down. If the bee colony is still attacking, you should leave the scene slowly. Excessive movements will make the bee colony think it is threatening and attack.

As for whether being stung by a wasp will cause shock, Chen pointed out that it depends on the individual's physique, the number of stabbings and the amount of toxins in the body.

Some people may become nervous after being stung, have short heartbeat and breathing, or have an allergic reaction. They should call an ambulance and send them to hospital immediately. The doctor must prescribe anti-allergy medicines in time.

The wound stung by a wasp usually hurts for two to three days, and then itching for five to seven days.
