A police officer from the province of Buenos Aires was killed this Sunday by a bullet in the head during a confusing episode with a couple in Billinghurst, San Martín district.
He is the 20th officer killed so far this year, 14 of whom lost their lives in the suburbs.
According to sources from the force, this is Fernando Palavecino (25), who served in the Local Prevention Police Unit of Tres Febrero and who was shot at the corner of Primera Junta and Rivadavia early Sunday morning after an argument. .
The officer died shortly thereafter at the Eva Perón General Interzonal Hospital (former Castex).
The spokesmen indicated that
Palavecino was franco, dressed in civilian clothes, and was with a group of friends
aboard a Chevrolet Onix, when he was surprised by a couple who were driving in a grayish-blue car.
