On October 19th, Oxford University in the United Kingdom quoted the preliminary findings of a study saying that many patients still have symptoms of new coronavirus pneumonia (COVID-19) after being discharged from the hospital.

They still have related symptoms 2 to 3 months after being discharged from the hospital, including dyspnea, fatigue, anxiety and depression.

The university stated that from the preliminary findings of the study, the patient’s symptoms have been present longer than previously expected.

The purpose of this study is to observe the long-term effects of new coronary pneumonia on the human body.

The university pointed out in a statement that scientists have also found abnormalities in multiple organs of the survivors, and believe that persistent inflammation may be one of the reasons.

In addition to studying the impact of the disease on the human body, the University of Oxford has also jointly developed a new crown vaccine with the British pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca.

British Deputy Chief Medical Officer Jonathan Van-Tam told members of Parliament at a briefing last week that the vaccine is expected to be ready for market before Christmas.

British seniors, vulnerable persons and key staff can be vaccinated from the New Year.

A member who attended the briefing said that Van Tam was quite optimistic about the third phase of the vaccine test and he expected it to be completed between the end of October and the end of November.
