There is something new about this assassination.

Based on the evidence available to date, the assassin, Abdullakh Anzorov, did not claim any membership in any transnational jihadist organization - neither al-Qaida nor Islamic State.

He did not act under an order from outside.

He was known for common law acts, but did not appear in any file linked to acts of terrorism.
