THE QUESTION
- By broadcasting videos in which they criticize the teaching of Samuel Paty, the activist Abdelhakim Sefrioui and the father of the family B. Chnina, did they become complicit in the assassination of the professor?
Did they directly set in motion a fatal “fatwa” to the professor?
Far from being easy, this question is nevertheless essential to understand and judge the chain of events and responsibilities that led to the death of the history professor on Friday.

Reminder of the facts: in several messages posted on Facebook as well as videos published on social networks since the beginning of October, still visible to this day for some, the two men sharply criticized the methods and objectives of the history professor of Conflans- Sainte-Honorine, outraged by his choice to present two caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad in class.
The two men have stepped up initiatives to put pressure on Samuel Paty and his hierarchy.

", he declares in particular in a video, criticizing before that the"
hatred
"of the professor.
Sefrioui also accompanied him on a meeting at college on October 8.

They clearly launched a fatwa against this professor
", denounced this Monday the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, saying to himself "

".

The anti-terrorism prosecution will see if it qualifies them as accomplices in terrorist acts

But, legally, can we prosecute the authors of videos and messages criticizing Samuel Paty and shared on social networks by his murderer?
