Former Bolivian President Evo Morales followed from the house where he is living,

in the Barrancas de Martínez

, in San Isidro, the minute by minute of the elections in which Luis Arce, the candidate of his party, the MAS, prevailed.

This Monday, during a press conference in Buenos Aires, Morales confirmed that he will return to Bolivia, although he avoided giving details about the date on which he will do so.

"Sooner or later we are going to return to Bolivia. That is not a debate. It is a matter of time. My great desire is to return to Bolivia, where I was born as a union leader and from there I became president of the plurinational state," he replied.

Sources who have spoken with him in recent weeks say that the place where he lives in Buenos Aires is a large house with white walls and black slate roofs, protected by vines that grow in the ravines that overlook the Río de La Plata in one of the most exclusive areas of the area and that was rented by the government of Nicolás Maduro, since the Argentine government avoided doing so directly.

Martínez's house, in San Isidro, where former Bolivian President Evo Morales has been staying since March 23.

"Evo lives humbly,"

sources close to the former Bolivian president assured to explain that it is not he who pays the rent for that house.

Those same sources explained to

Clarín

that Morales moved to that house on March 23 because the Colegiales house - owned by an Argentine social leader - in which he lived when he arrived in the country in December did not guarantee security.

Since his arrival in Argentina, Morales has spoken on several occasions with President Alberto Fernández and Vice President Cristina Kirchner, but they have dealt with him directly - at the expense of formal complaints from the provisional government of Jeanine Añez - officials such as the Vice Minister of Public Works, Edgardo Depetri;

the legislator of the Parlasur Oscar Laborde and the Chief of Cabinet of the Chancellery, Guillermo Justo Cháves, who was in charge of the diplomatic questions of his stay.

This Monday, Cháves tweeted: "Almost a year ago it seemed impossible. Justice takes time but it comes. It is the truth of the peoples. Congratulations to the enormous Bolivian people @evoespueblo @LuchoXBolivia."

Within the very Argentine militancy that throughout this last year ensured the safety of Morales in the country, there were instructions to

avoid exultant expressions

before

the final result

was known

that will lead Arce to the Bolivian presidency

and will end the administration with of the provisional president.

When on Sunday night Añez, the de facto president for the Argentine government, recognized Arce's triumph and even congratulated him without the official results yet, in Argentina the celebration spread a cry.

The sectors linked to Cristina Kirchner and the left wing of Kirchnerism consider it a triumph for Fernández, but also for Venezuela.

This Monday, tweets multiplied in the Argentine ruling party about Bolivia, starting with that of the President and the vice president ("The victory of @BOmereceMAS in Bolivia is not only good news for those of us who defend democracy in Latin America; it is also a act of justice in the face of the aggression suffered by the Bolivian people, "said Fernández), although they indicated that

Morales will be the one who decides his next steps

.

Still not known

if he will return to Bolivia when Arce takes office in November -as long as he is recognized as the winner in the first round and there are no conflicts-;

or if the MAS leader will choose to continue with his refuge in Argentina

until the next Bolivian government "helps" him to resolve pending issues in court.

In Bolivia, Morales faces accusations

of alleged terrorism, sedition and even pedophilia, all causes that for the Argentine government and the MAS were armed on unsubstantiated accusations, like those faced by Cristina Kirchner in Argentina and Rafael Correa in Ecuador. in a practice they call "Lawfare".

Foreign Minister Felipe Solá said: "Argentina never recognized the coup leaders transformed into a de facto government. A year ago the decision of the presidents @alferdez and @lopezobrador saved the life of @evoespueblo. Let us remember to value".

The Foreign Ministry said that Monday morning that when the next government takes office they will restart "formal diplomatic relations with the sending of an ambassador to La Paz."

It is estimated that Morales' MAS swept through the voters who cast their vote in Argentina by almost 77% of the vote.
