Special Envoy to Philadelphia
Every day since the beginning of the month, a long line has formed in front of City Hall in Philadelphia.
Under the large Second Empire-style facade of the building, an almost exact copy of Paris city hall, dozens and dozens of people wait patiently for several hours, with headphones in their ears or a book to hand, a good distance between each of them.
Some came to vote in advance, others to register on the electoral roll.
“I opted for early voting to make sure my vote was counted,”
explains Michael Stutman, a lawyer from Philadelphia.
“This presidential election is incredibly important.
I have considered voting in person on voting day, as I usually do, but I prefer to take every possible precaution.
I have no confidence in our current president and am wary of the games he plays with the postal services: so I came to deposit
