You have to visit Spain!

It is a wonderful country and so varied and different in each province, and the Motherland for many.

(CNN Spanish) -

Yesterday, my friend Eva - with whom I have traveled a lot - asked me: "When we can travel freely, where would you like to go?"

And although at the moment, due to the restrictions due to the covid-19 pandemic, I am not traveling, I have always thought that “planning” is an important part of the pleasure of traveling, and that is why I share this article with you!

I must confess that I am not so interested in knowing "new" places, as I would be fascinated to return to places that I know and with which I dream of returning.

Many of the most beautiful cities, corners - and moments! - in the world.

And get to work.

I started to make a list to share with you and recommend possible future trips.

And it was wonderful to remember them, but since the list is almost endless, I will be selective and here are the 5 trips I most want to do again:

1.- Any sunset and sunset on Caribbean beaches.

Moments that bring us closer to God.

Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, St. Thomas, Tulum, in Mexico.

Choose your favorite place and relive your memories!

The sun in the Caribbean is an injection of life.

2.- The physical beauty and the elegant “charm” of Paris.

Incomparable!

And before you go, please read about its history, its architecture, its art, its characters and traditions, and you will triple your pleasure.

And don't forget to visit Versailles after watching the fascinating soap opera on the great palace.

3.- The joy of living and the overwhelming beauty of any corner in Italy

.

The exquisite Florence.

The almost ethereal and fantastic vision of Venice.

The visit to the history, at every step, of Rome.

The natural beauty of Capri and the Amalfi and Sorrento coast.

And the almost wild Sicily, with its fragrance of lemons and oranges!

4.- The special, orderly and very “very British” atmosphere of London

and the beautiful and very green English countryside.

Again, I urge you to read - and visit - its fascinating history, palaces, castles, customs and traditions.

And don't miss out on visiting Buckingham Palace (in August) and tasting the famous “afternoon tea” at the Ritz Hotel in London.

5.- You have to visit Spain!

It is a wonderful country and so varied and different in each province, and the Motherland for many.

And I especially miss my walks through old Madrid, the chocolate with churros at Chocolateria San Gines, the Prado Museum and Velázquez's "Las Meninas" and lovely nights in the Plaza Mayor or on the terraces of Plaza de Santa Ana. consider its divine Paradores Nacionales when you take a car trip to discover the extraordinary Seville and Granada, in Andalusia;

the windmills of La Mancha, the fishing villages of Galicia or the beautiful and very gourmet Basque Country.

My endless list –of course– includes hundreds of other places that I adore like Mexico (Frida Kahlo's Blue House, in Coyoacán); New York City, where I live; the charm and good living of Buenos Aires; the beauty of Bora Bora; the mystical Kyoto, in Japan; the splendid Bahia in Brazil; the beautiful and fun Cartagena de Indias, in Colombia; the mystery of Marrakech; the subtle beauty and the cod fritters and the pasteis de nata from Lisbon; the great San Francisco in California, etcetera, etcetera, because the world is full of emotions and millions of beauties to discover and rediscover.
