A Russian military court has issued a sentence of eight years in prison for a person collecting money for the terrorist organization "ISIS" in the Russian capital, Moscow.

The TASS news agency quoted the spokeswoman for the main investigation committee in Moscow, Yulia Ivanova, as saying that the Second Military Court of the Western Region convicted Ramadan Abdul Khaleqouf and sentenced him to eight years in prison for collecting money for the terrorist organization ISIS.

Abdul Khaleqouf joined a group on a phone app where Alim Begiyev, in charge of terrorist financing in Moscow, was recruiting terrorists for the organization.

The spokeswoman said that about 30 people, including Abd al-Khalqouf, had agreed to finance the terrorist organization "ISIS" in Syria and Iraq and joined it, indicating that they had collected funds for the organization through their bank cards and transferred them to the account of people participating in operations of illegal armed formations.

Earlier, the Russian security services carried out many raids and arrests in a number of Russian regions and arrested a number of terrorists.
