A 28-year-old resident of Kiryat Haim was arrested today (Monday) on suspicion of murdering his partner in an apartment in the Kiryat Haim neighborhood of Haifa.

MDA teams entered the apartment with police and firefighters, where they found the woman, in her 30s, unconscious. At the end of medical examinations, they were forced to determine her death on the spot. Preliminary investigation shows that they are minorities, residents of the Western Galilee in recent years. They moved to the area.



MDA medic Anan Abu Yaman said that "when we arrived at the scene, we joined the police and fire brigade and together we entered the apartment. The woman was unconscious, we performed medical tests, she was without signs of life and we had to determine her death there."

The incident joins several other cases in which the murder has been suspected in recent weeks.

The last of which occurred on Friday, when a 73-year-old man was stabbed to death by his 22-year-old grandson in Rosh HaAyin.

Preliminary investigation reveals that the grandfather and his wife tried to prevent the grandson from killing a cat he was trying to drown in a bucket of water.

The grandfather tried to call the police, but his grandson heard this - grabbed a knife, ran after him and stabbed him.

According to the suspect, the grandfather collapsed and the young man photographed him drinking blood.

The suspect is known to the authorities as mentally ill.

Last week, Tomer Peretz, a 30-year-old resident of Tirat Carmel, was shot dead on Zevulun Street in Kiryat Ata, apparently from a passing vehicle that fled the scene.

A week earlier, Nissim Tzur, a 23-year-old resident of Acre, was stabbed to death on Haim Moshe Shapira Street in the city.

The stabbers fled the scene and forces searched for them.

The investigation of the two incidents continues.
