Ten burglaries and looting of 1.51 million property in two months, three male thieves arrested in Tseung Kwan O Village

The police arrested three burglars.

At about 7 pm on Monday (19th), the Criminal Investigation Team of the Tai Po Police District launched an anti-burglary operation and arrested two 25-year-old local men and a 35-year-old Chinese man in Tseung Kwan O Village. "Theft of tools" and "burglary"; during the escape, the Chinese man once assaulted a male police officer with his hands. He was also arrested for "assaulting a policeman" and "illegal immigration." The male policeman was sent to hospital with injuries to his hands and feet.

During the operation, the police seized screwdrivers, stylus pens and spanars and other burglary tools in a private car driven by one of the arrested men. After investigation, it is believed that they were in Tai Po District and Tuen Mun District from September to October. Ten burglaries in the Tsuen Wan, Sha Tin, Western and Sai Kung districts were related to the total value of about 1.51 million yuan.

The police said that the operation is still going on and it does not rule out that more people were arrested.
