In a statement received by SANA today, the Ministry of Interior stated that within the framework of continuous and vigorous follow-up to the arrest of drug traffickers and drug dealers, the Narcotics Control Branch in Lattakia arrested a person after receiving information that he had promoted and sold hashish in the governorate using a Mitsubishi car. The ministry confirmed that the aforementioned was arrested and the car was also seized, and 42 coffins of narcotic hashish, weighing eight kilograms, two hundred and ninety-three grams, were seized in his possession.
The ministry indicated that investigations are still continuing to uncover all those involved in the case, and the arrested person will be duly brought before the court.
