In the second film screening within the open-air cinema demonstration launched by the Ministry of Culture in several governorates, the film “The Lover” was shown in the park opposite to the Canadian Cinema in Homs.

The film, starring the artists Abdel Moneim Amairi, Dima Qandalqat, Qais Sheikh Naguib and Fadi Subaih, deals with the life story of a filmmaker who grew up in a forgotten village and lived in his childhood and then went to the city to complete his studies and when he becomes famous he decides to make a film about his upbringing in the village based on his childhood memory, where he retrieves through it Stories of love and friendships that began in the past, ended, and reappear in the present, and predict what will happen in some way in the future.

The Sana correspondent monitored the opinions of the audience, as Samer Al-Muhammad, Lilian Khoury, Muhammad Al-Hashem, and Ola Al-Qusayr referred to people's thirst for cinema, especially since watching films in the open air achieves additional excitement and fun, calling for intensifying the shows and expanding their area to include the countryside of Homs.

It is noteworthy that the demonstration held by the General Film Organization in the Central Region will conclude its screenings with a film directed by Ahmed Ibrahim Ahmed.
