The authorities of the Turkish regime have arbitrarily dismissed 11 judges and prosecutors under the pretext of association with the preacher Fethullah Gülen, whom the regime of Recep Tayyip Erdogan accuses of being behind the 2016 coup attempt.
The Turkish newspaper Zaman reported that the Council of Judges and Prosecutors in Turkey, which is dominated by Erdogan, today dismissed 11 judges and a public prosecutor, for allegedly being associated with Gulen.
Since the failed coup attempt in July 2016, the Turkish government has dismissed thousands of judges and prosecutors under the pretext of linking with opposition parties accused by the Erdogan regime of masterminding the coup.
According to the latest statistics, the number of those who were subjected to interrogation during the past two years reached nearly 400,000 people, of whom 80,147 were arrested. As for those dismissed from their jobs, their number reached 170,372, of whom 17844 were army officers who were dismissed from the military institution and 16,409 military cadets were dismissed from their military academies.
