"I met Gabriella two years ago, and was immediately impressed by the depth of her personality and the breadth of her mind.

"Gabriella brought to our meeting Stefan Zweig's book 'The World of Yesterday,' and drew my attention to Zweig's descriptions of his memorable encounters with Benjamin Zeev Herzl," he noted.

"From time to time she presented me with instructive studies on Spanish and Eastern Jewry. Everything was done with her special grace and sensitivity.

"Gabriella specialized in Jewish and Muslim philosophy, and received a doctorate from Harvard University. She lectured and wrote on Jewish philosophy in the Middle Ages, and at the same time sought to engage in public mission."

"The love of the country and Zionist fervor guided her path. She brightened everyone's face, radiating human warmth. In the months that Gabriella served as an adviser in the Prime Minister's Office, she promoted important issues.

"My sincere condolences are given to Gabriela's husband, Itzik, daughters Daniela, Hoodia and Michal, to parents Mimi and Yosef Algarbeli, and to all the family members. May her memory be blessed."
