The measures taken, according to the Director of Al-Hasakah Education, Elham Sourkhan, included granting temporary licenses to establish private schools and classrooms and introducing prefabricated schools into service in order to solve part of the problem within the framework of efforts to secure a school seat for all pupils and students and work according to the available and available capabilities.

Sourkhan indicated in a statement to SANA's correspondent that “the directorate granted 16 temporary licenses to private schools in the city of Hasaka, with a capacity of 9,500 students for a period of one year only, with priority given to private institutes that allow their headquarters to be transformed into a school as a temporary solution to solve the problem of overcrowding within the classroom population.” So far, 2,500 students have been enrolled in private schools.

Sourkhan added that among the measures taken are continuous settlements between schools and the establishment of a balance between classroom divisions by transferring the increased numbers to less crowded schools.

The Hasakah Education Directorate stated that a prefabricated school was put into service at the beginning of this month, which includes 13 classrooms to relieve pressure on the rest of the schools, and there are promises to install 50 prefabricated classrooms during the coming period provided by UNICEF.

The director of Al-Idrisi School, Farouq Al-Zaid, who obtained a temporary license, explained the importance of this procedure “in terms of securing a school seat for all children and students in Al-Hasakah Governorate, where 10 classrooms were opened within the school, and we are working within the available and available capabilities to support the Hasakah Education Directorate in the face of pressure resulting from the seizure of schools and deprivation Thousands of children and students from education ”.
