Teachers from the Bois d'Aulne college in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine on Tuesday expressed in a press release their "
deep concern about the impact of social networks
" after the savage assassination of their colleague Samuel Paty for showing caricatures of Mohammed.

We express our deep concern about the impact of social networks.
The speed with which information is disseminated to the greatest number, and its irreversible aspect, are a real scourge in the exercise of our profession
”, affirm the professors in a press release.
Also, they explain "
claim (er) the right to exercise (their) profession with respect for educational freedom and in complete safety
".

The foundation of public school is based on republican and secular values.
These are the values that Samuel defended in his teaching on freedom of expression.
Through him, it is the whole republican school that is targeted,
”they denounce.

Today, we reaffirm, more strongly than ever, our attachment to these values and our determination to transmit them on a daily basis in the interest of the students
