German politics has done a lot right in the corona pandemic.

Precisely before winter, the alarm signals are increasing.

  • In the corona crisis, the gap in the population is widening.

  • At the same time, politics is increasingly characterized by actionism.

  • The RKI numbers are alarming - but only part of the truth.

Munich - Hardly a day goes by without the Chancellor and Bavaria's Prime Minister warning of Corona.

You do shriller alternately and in more glowing terms: "shock wave", "loss of control", "You stay at home!"

Angela Merkel

and

Markus Söder

want the population to the danger

awareness

- but their method meets every day to their limits: The constant

The rhetoric of fear

and terror drives some into panic, others on the barricades and a third group dulls.

All of this is dangerous.

The gap that runs through the population is getting deeper and deeper.

In addition, there are poorly thought out and quickly

cashed in measures

that unsettle citizens, such as the ban on accommodation.

Such

activism

sends a disturbing signal to the population: Politicians themselves are panicking.

Corona measures in Germany: Solidarity among the population is crumbling

One thing is correct: Germany has done a lot right so far.

But it is an alarm signal when respected

personalities of civil society

such as the owner of the hotel “Bayerischer Hof” in Munich, Innegrit Volkhardt, warns politicians that they are about to lose people like them.

Or if the

medical president takes a

massive

stand

against the

corona measures

.

These are decay processes that show how much

solidarity

in the population crumbles.

If people

perceive

measures as not

proportionate

and

expedient

, the willingness to participate decreases and acceptance of the

meaningful rules

wobbles

.

Do we need police enforced borders for celebrations or large weddings?

Of course!

But what is the use of a

mask requirement

in companies that have not yet been

noticed

as an

infection driver

really for fighting the pandemic?

Coronavirus in Germany: The RKI numbers are only part of the truth

The surge in the

wave

of infections is worrying, but the

number of new

infections

reported

daily by the

RKI

is only part of the truth.

It must be supplemented by the

number of difficult courses

and the

utilization of the clinic capacities

in order to provide really reliable information.

The winter ahead will not be beautiful.

But it won't get any better if we all lose our heads now.
