The Ministry of Health in Argentina said today that the country has become the fifth country in the world with more than one million cases of Coronavirus, making it the smallest country so far to reach this level of infections, after cases have accelerated in recent weeks.
Reuters quoted the ministry as saying in a statement that "the total number of confirmed injuries has reached one million and 2,662."
It added that it had recorded 12,982 new infections and 451 deaths during the past twenty-four hours.
In Mexico, the Ministry of Health announced that it had recorded 3,699 new confirmed cases of Coronavirus and 171 deaths, bringing the total number in the country to 854,926 cases and 86,338 deaths.
