2020-10-20T18:03:50.904Z

The company has between two days and a month to decide on a possible sanction against Emmanuelle, this account manager, who

“Hello my beautiful, I have your box of masks.

If other colleagues are interested, I have masks at 25 euros per box of 50. ”This ordinary email could cost Emmanuelle her post of customer advisor, who has been in charge of GrDF's telephone reception for two and a half years. on the Brétigny-sur-Orge site.

As part of a disciplinary procedure started a few months ago, this thirty-something was received this Tuesday afternoon by the management.

The company now has between 48 hours and a month to decide on a possible sanction against this employee, who is accused of an attempt to sell masks through her professional messaging.

"They put pressure on her"

At the beginning of March, it all starts with a simple discussion between Emmanuelle and one of her colleague and friend.

Aged in her sixties and suffering from respiratory problems, the latter worries about her health and that of her mother.

In the midst of a pandemic, she cannot find masks to protect herself.

“At that time, the masks were requisitioned, recalls Luc-André Pons, secretary general of CGT Énergie 91. We said that they were useless because we did not have them for everyone.

"

To be of service to him, Emmanuelle offers to bring him back a box of FFP2 type masks that she was able to obtain through a cousin.

But on D-day, the colleague in question is absent.

The thirty-something then sends him this famous message via her professional mailbox and entrusts the precious protections to her manager.

The story could have ended there.

But a copy of that email landed in the hands of management.

"It was the manager in question who brought it up," says Luc-André Pons.

The coworker who was to collect the masks received a warning and they certainly pressured her to give them a copy of that message.

"

"Treatment discrimination"

According to him, Emmanuelle would only be guilty of having wanted to help a colleague.

“There was no exchange of masks, no exchange of money, since the manager simply confiscated this box, in a completely illegal way, he abounds.

And Emmanuelle wanted to sell these masks at the right price.

While doing some research, I realized that some were selling them 10 times more expensive on the Bon Coin at that time.

"

While waiting for the verdict of the management, the union plans to file a complaint against it for discrimination in treatment between Emmanuelle and one of the executives of the company.

The latter - who previously held the post of ethics director at the national level - allegedly sold his motorcycle using GRDF's internal messaging system.

"And he had no sanction," assures Karim Abed, secretary general of CGT Énergie Ouest Ile-de-France.

"Senior executives can do what they want while when you're a senior executive, your head is cut off," he protests.

Contacted, the management always indicates "that it does not wish to comment on a procedure which is still in progress".
