The Ministerial Committee for the Declaration of a Restricted Area today (Tuesday) approved the lifting of the closure on Bnei Brak, Elad, Beitar Illit and Modi'in Illit, as well as on the neighborhoods of Tersdorf, Maalot Dafna and Ramat Eshkol in Jerusalem.
This, in light of the improvement in morbidity data in Corona in these cities and neighborhoods.
In doing so, only an entire Rama neighborhood in the capital will be left under closure.
Yesterday, the closure was also lifted in the locality of Rechasim, which was also defined as red.
The head of the Rechasim Council, Dan Cohen, announced that last night the settlement turned green and the closure in it was lifted.
"Thanks to your effort to adhere to the rules and guidelines, our definition as a red city has been removed. From now on, restrictions will apply to the locality as in the rest of the country," Cohen told residents.
"I urge you to continue to follow the guidelines."

The decision was made in accordance with the recommendation of the Ministry of Health and Corona Commissioner Prof. Roni Gamzo.
Earlier today during a media briefing he presented the latest disease data on the virus.
He said, "We are declining in all sectors. On Saturday night we saw a significant decline in the red cities, including cities from the ultra-Orthodox sector. We estimated that they will reach orange at this stage and therefore extended the closure in these places. Today both Bnei Brak and Elad go down to orange."
"We went into closure with 9,000 verified and 140 red cities, we are in a better position, but we need to keep lowering the morbidity. We are looking at each city and its morbidity and infection rate," he said.
