The World Health Organization recorded more than 2.4 million new infections with the Coronavirus “Covid 19” in the world during the past week, which represents a record high of cases on a weekly basis.
"The number of new cases of Covid 19 infection continues to increase rapidly, while the new death toll is still relatively stable," the UN agency stated in a weekly report issued today.
The organization stated that the number of registered HIV infections in the world reached the day before yesterday, according to available reports, 40118333 cases, including 1114749 deaths.
She indicated that, during the past week, 2443594 new cases of the disease and 3,6547 deaths were detected.
The report pointed out that the largest increase was recorded in Europe, confirming the detection of 927,433 new infections, an increase of 25 percent compared to the outcome of the previous week, and the general number of cases there was 8027,954.
While the North and South America is the region with the first overall number of injuries.
