The number of those discharged from compulsory and reserve military service admitted to benefit from the second phase of the program of support and empowerment of laid-offs reached 29,105, according to the Director General of the National Fund for Social Aid, Eng. Luay Al-Aranji.

Al-Aranji explained in a statement to SANA that the identification of the beneficiaries of the program was done after completing the verification of the forms and data submitted by the 31,639 demobilized theaters during the registration process that lasted from June 9 to July 16 in the fund centers and branches in the governorates, numbering 30, or through the private digital channel In the program, indicating that the audit was carried out by the General Organization for Insurance and the register of workers in the state and the Ministry of Defense.

Al-Aranji pointed out that the program of support and empowerment of laid-offs includes providing cash for a period of 12 months, valued at 35 thousand Syrian pounds per month, which stops when the theater gets a job in the public sector, whether as a permanent worker or under an annual contract, indicating that the empowerment aspect of the program includes free vocational training courses to raise the capabilities and skills Beneficiaries and facilitate their access to the labor market in the public and private sectors, or grant subsidized or interest-free loans to establish small enterprises.

Al-Arnaji indicated that it is expected to start disbursing the first installment of the financial reward included in the program during the month of November, through the financial directorates branches in the governorates.

Those who have spent five years or more in compulsory and reserve military service and those who have been demobilized as a result of injury during war operations, regardless of the length of service, benefit from the program, and they do not receive any full or partial salary.
