Murder of Samuel Paty: an investigation under high tension

2020-10-20T19:40:02.793Z

Contact was established between the terrorist and the student's parent who launched the Islamists' internet campaign against the teacher. In addition, a CRS unit in Bièvres received threats in connection with the death of the killer.

You killed my Chechen brother.

You're all going to jump, that's just the beginning, you bitches! ”

Here is the message sent just recently, behind a hidden number, to the CRS switchboard number 8 in Bièvres (Essonne).

It was retransmitted by radio frequency to the police officers concerned, by their chief, with this warning:

“Behind, there were Islamic songs, the hierarchy is advised, be careful”.

It is in this appalling context that the agents of the Ministry of the Interior have been working since the incapacitation of the Islamist terrorist Abdulakh Anzorov, who beheaded Samuel Paty, on October 16.

The investigation into the cold execution of the teacher, which moves and revolts the whole world, was entrusted, as we know, to the judicial police and to the General Directorate of Internal Security (DGSI).

Why, how and thanks to whom the killer was able to identify, find and torture the teacher of Conflans-Sainte-Honorine (Yvelines), while Anzorov lived in Évreux (Eure), nearly 100 kilometers from the college where Samuel practiced Paty?

The sixteen police custody already pronounced in this case, including that of five students of this establishment, begin to shed light on the gray areas of the macabre course of the young Russian of 18 years, of Chechen origin.

Key point of the investigations: telephony and digital data, but also certain hearings, which reveal that the terrorist did contact the student's parent who sparked the controversy after the course on October 6 during which cartoons were shown.

Complex expertise

In his video sent on social networks, the father of the student in question gave, it is true, his name, his mobile number to be reached, as well as the address of the college to anyone who would like to report the teacher,

"for say stop ”

.

Abdoulakh Anzorov not only relayed this video on the internet, but he also, via this phone number, got in touch with this father through WhatsApp messaging.

The police are now trying to trace the content of the exchange and any other messages or calls that would establish an even more formal link between the two men.

But in the case of encrypted messaging, this expertise would not be as easy as reading a simple itemized invoice.

The police see it more clearly, in any case, on the way in which Anzorov was able to identify his victim: he would have outright paid students at the exit of the college so that they indicate to him his prey.

They assure that they knew nothing of his intentions.

At least one of the students reportedly admitted, despite everything, that the terrorist had warned him that he was going to force the teacher to apologize by filming him.

As for the murder weapon, the knife was bought by Anzorov in Rouen with a friend, a certain Azim, and the latter's father.

Placed in custody, these two suspects say they do not know what this blade was intended for.

Likewise, the man who led the killer from Évreux, where he lived, to Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, where Samuel Paty worked, claims to have never been made aware of the criminal project.

He presented himself to the police station.

"The investigation of the national anti-terrorism prosecution is progressing at its own pace"
