The head of Russian foreign intelligence, Sergei Naryshkin, confirmed that the United States is preparing for unrest and riots in Moldova after the presidential elections that will be witnessed next month.

Sputnik quoted Naryshkin as saying in a statement, "The United States continues to interfere in the internal affairs of Moscow-friendly countries along the Russian borders and are making attempts to influence the situation after the elections in Belarus and Kyrgyzstan."

Naryshkin added, “Now we clearly see that the Americans are preparing a revolutionary scenario for Moldova, which will elect a president next November. Of the American specialists in the color revolutions to travel to Moldova and the attempt of American diplomats to persuade the security forces not to intervene in potential street protests.

Naryshkin explained that the US State Department had instructed its embassy in the Moldovan capital to pre-incite the opposition to organize protests in the event that current President Igor Dodon wins the elections and to demand the cancellation of the vote result, pointing out that non-governmental organizations and the media of the Americans are spreading false information about the authorities ’plans to resort to fraud. .
