For four weeks, Sarra Rabia has struggled in an ubiquitous scenario.

Wearing a black veil, this 30-year-old widow has just lost her husband in dramatic circumstances.

Hacène Rabia, a 32-year-old order picker, was stabbed to death on September 21 in Pantin.

To the pain of this mother of three young children is added what appears to be the zeal of the civil status department of the city of Pantin.

Her husband's death certificate was drawn up under X. And Sarra is still struggling to get it changed and finally give him back an identity.

This Monday, she was with relatives on the forecourt of the Bobigny judicial court in the hope of securing an appointment with the prosecutor.

On a small sign that she held in her hand, it was written: “To the grief of the family you add judicial slowness.

We ask you to show humanity by issuing this death certificate to repatriate the body ”.

She herself specifies: “I just ask for the death certificate to mourn.

I don't want the moon ”.

Amar, Hacène's uncle, who has taken matters in hand, adds: “We don't understand.

There is no legal obstacle to the issuance of the document ”.

Fatally injured in the middle of the street

The father of the family had been found mortally wounded, in the middle of the street, without an identification document.

At the forensic institute (IML), the death certificate is issued under X. But "within 24 hours, it will be identified", specifies an internal source.

The fingerprinting allows to finally put a name on the body.

Then, on September 24, the widow came to recognize him at the IML.

Despite this, the document stamped by the town hall of Pantin and dated September 28 always mentions the name of the deceased: "unknown".

“My husband is considered to be still alive,” Sarra blows.

His remains are still in the IML.

"

Four weeks after his identification, he is still "Mr. X" in the eyes of the administration and the judiciary.

“We wrote last September 25 to the public prosecutor.

There is no one to explain it to us, ”says Amar.

"We just want someone to talk to us", adds Hakim, his friend.

They also want to obtain the restitution of the body to be able to bury it in Algeria.

“For his parents stranded in Algiers, it's very hard: this Mr. X who was killed is their son, Hacène Rabia!” Says Amar, his uncle.

He was a lovely boy.

I had had him on the phone the Sunday before his death to tell him that I was going to come and spend a week with him in October ”.

Request for rectification of civil status

But according to a source familiar with the matter, the blockage actually occurred at the civil status service of the City of Pantin.

On September 28, the police went there to have the death certificate drawn up and to obtain the rectification of the initial document.

Provided with the investigation report which proves the identity of the deceased, she runs up against a plea of inadmissibility.

“At the town hall of Pantin, an investigation report is worthless!

», Chokes a policeman.

The latter was not able to answer us.

But the brilliance of the family of Hacène, Monday on the court forecourt will not have been in vain.

The prosecution has since contacted the widow again.

"A request for rectification of the civil status act has been filed," says the Bobigny prosecutor's office.

The judgment is expected to be rendered this Wednesday.

The alleged murderer imprisoned

On the night of September 21, in Pantin, Quatre-Chemins district, Hacène Rabia, 32, was stabbed to death.

This order picker in a large chain and from Chantilly (Oise) received several blows, one of which turned out to be fatal.

Everything starts from a dispute between motorists in Aubervilliers which will degenerate in Pantin.

A Renault forces the passage and almost mows down a woman getting out of a vehicle.

The occupants of the two cars come to blows.

During the confrontation one of the protagonists loses his keys in the Renault.

The latter, while the two parties have separated, leaves in the direction of Pantin, helped by a witness to find the Renault, and its keys.

But when they find the Clio, the driver and one of the occupants of the car are this time armed with an iron bar and knives.

It is then that Hacène and a friend accidentally arrive in the middle of the dispute.

“They sought to calm the spirits,” indicates a source close to the investigation.

Hacène's boyfriend gets by despite the stab wounds he receives.

Wounded in the side and the thigh, Hacène will not get up.

Initially, three men will be placed in police custody and then released.

"On September 27, the main alleged perpetrator of the murder was indicted and remanded in custody," said the Bobigny prosecutor's office.

Armed with a knife he would have dealt the fatal blow to Hacène and injured his friend.

A second suspect, of Tunisian origin, was arrested on a European arrest warrant in the region of Malaga (Spain) on October 13.
