The Republican Party is biting at the Democrats' advantage in registering voters in several key states in the United States presidential election.

According to her, this is a testament to the steadfast, ignoring enthusiasm of President Donald Trump and his party.

Although Trump lags behind in national polls struggling to raise funds with just two weeks left until Election Day, Republicans see the enrollment of registered voters in Florida, Pennsylvania, Arizona and other states as a rare bright spot.

The Democrats, it seems, have been hurt by their decision to reduce voter registration from door to door throughout most months of the Corona epidemic.

And in a kind of reversal, Republicans are proud of their success in bringing in new voters who can increase the turnout and give Trump four more years in the White House.

"The best thing about registering voters is enthusiasm for a candidate and the mechanism," said Nick Trainor, director of key strategy for Trump's campaign.

"The lack of enthusiasm from Biden along with the lack of mechanism are the reason they are not as successful as they have been in the past."

In Florida

, Republicans recorded 146,644 more voters than Democrats since the epidemic broke out in March, leaving Democrats with the smallest overall advantage since the state began tracking party registrations in 1972.

In Pennsylvania, where Trump won by a margin of 44,000 votes in 2016, the Republican Party has added 103,171 voters more than Democrats since November.

Even

in Arizona

, where Democrats are consistently reducing Republicans' advantage among registered voters thanks to a younger generation of voters of Latin descent, Republicans have added 30,000 more votes than Democrats since mid-August.

Democrats argue that Republicans' accomplishments are in part an illusion.

Some of the registered voters are former Democrat voters who passed to Republicans, but have not updated their affiliation cell so far.

They also noted that young voters, who tend significantly in favor of Democrats, are increasingly registered as having no party affiliation.

They believe that the advantage of the Republicans may be on paper, but not help them on election day.

David Bergstein, a spokesman for the National Democratic Committee, said Republicans "arbitrate" voter registration statistics.

However, he stressed: "Democrats do not take anything for granted and do everything to reach every voter we need."

In many states voters can still be registered, and in some of them - including the important Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin - this can be done as early as Election Day itself.

Either way, the numbers reflect a broader reality - the corona plague has slowed voter records since the plague erupted in March.

It has led to the closure of registration centers such as street festivals, campuses and car sales agencies.

According to a report by the Brennan Center for Justice, even with the gradual opening of the economy since then, new voter registration has dropped by 38% compared to the same period in 2016.

Experts point out that a decline in enrollments of this magnitude disproportionately hurts young people, residents of big cities and minorities - segments of the population who tend to be Democrats.

"The most crucial thing is that the plague has damaged Democrats' voter records, especially among key populations," said Jonathan Robinson of the Catalyst Democratic Information Center.

The Democrats' starting point was good.

They have succeeded in new records throughout most of Trump's tenure.

Their achievements after his victory helped them conquer the House of Representatives in 2018, with a record number of young voters.

Democrats see this as a sign that their work before the epidemic will pay off in November.

Democrats and organizations working to register new voters have been reluctant to resume face-to-face meetings with potential voters.

The Biden campaign only renewed some of that activity this month, while Republicans have already returned to the field over the summer.

"They gave up field activity," Trainor said of the Democrats.

Pollers' polls - 270 needed to win

Alejandra Gomes, one of the directors of the "Living Together for Change" groups in Arizona and the Center for Empowerment in Arizona, said that online listings do not have the same impact as in the field, face to face.

“While we are seeing an increasing number of network participants, it is still not like face-to-face work that allows for a conversation with a person,” Gomes said.

Despite this, Democrats are still optimistic about their situation in the country.

Analyst Sam Elmi said that of the 66,000 voters added since August who do not belong to any party, half of whom are 35 or older - an important Democratic electorate.

    In Pennsylvania

, Republicans have been growing consistently at the expense of Democrats since Trump's victory.

Democrats in the state are aware that the president is succeeding in attracting their veteran voters, who may move to the Republican Party.

"Donald Trump is an extraordinary man," said John Peterman, the country's deputy deputy governor.

He said that despite the drop in the number of party enrollees, Democrats won the 2018 Senate and governor race.

"I'm not very worried about the gaps in voter registration," he said.

    In Nevada

, where Democrats regularly manage to register more voters than Republicans ahead of the election, the latter have overtaken Democrats by at least five months since the epidemic began.

    In North Carolina

, where the Senate race is likely to dominate control of the House, Republican enrollment has been 51,381 registered across the Democrats since mid-March.

In Florida, where Hillary Clinton lost even though the Democrats' gap in the number of registered voters was more than 320,000, the advantage was reduced by half. However, Democrats noted that there is an even greater increase in the number of voters refusing to identify with any party.

Steve Scale, a longtime Democratic strategic activist in Florida who publicly complained about the party's failure to keep up with Republicans in the records, said in a conversation with reporters that unidentified voters are mostly young and not white.

"That should be a pretty good sign," Skyle, who heads an organization that supports Biden, told reporters.
