From our awareness of the land and we ran barefoot in the shade of oaks in the mountains of our gentle coast, we planted ears of wheat in our hills and in the terraces of our mountains, giving us abundant yields, golden ears and fine grains that we store in the mortar berms, and we make our bread and increased throughout the year.

A few days ago, large areas of our green mountains in Al-Ghab, Tartous, Lattakia and the western countryside of Homs were subjected to widespread fires, and there is no doubt that the burned areas amount to thousands of hectares, and most of them are fertile forest lands with high rainfall, which means that large areas of them can be reclaimed and cultivated with wheat, which achieves immediate economic returns for citizens. In those areas on the one hand, it helps to secure self-sufficiency of wheat in light of the unfair siege, sanctions and malicious occupation of our wheat seeders on the Syrian island, on the other hand.

Reclaiming some of the burned areas and planting them with wheat does not mean dispensing with the vegetation in them. Rather, it should be planted in parallel with fruit trees that require several years to grow until they become fruitful, such as apples, pears, olives, etc. Areas are planned at medium and long distance.

Why wheat?

Everyone knows that for a decade now we have been subjected to a harsh economic war targeting the livelihood of the Syrians, accompanied by the terrorist war, and it is getting more fierce with the implementation of the criminal Caesar Act, and with the occupation of most of our country's goods in the Syrian Jazira region, which requires from us exceptional agricultural plans that meet our annual needs. Wheat and help in facing the siege and the "livelihood" war waged against the Syrian citizen.

Not only that, but the agricultural plans for the next season should be reconsidered in accordance with the requirements of food security, especially wheat, by increasing the areas cultivated in every suitable area, especially on irrigated lands or with good rainfall.

Our battle today is the battle of "livelihood" with which the enemies fight us and want to deprive our children of it, so that we give up all that we held on to, and all that we paid for the precious blood, so we must win the battle of wheat just as we won our battle against terrorism, until we recover our looted island Its bounties are from the American occupation and its tools. We will not abandon the vigor of our oaks or our loaf of bread, and we will not beg anyone.
