The same day that Argentina notified the million people infected by coronavirus since the pandemic began, President Alberto Fernández met for dinner with Evo Morales to celebrate the triumph of the Movement to Socialism (MAS) in Bolivia.
They did it without social distance or chinstraps.
At the meeting, Fernández expressed his congratulations to Morales for the victory of Luis Arce, a presidential candidate backed by the former Bolivian president, who thanked "the support of the President, the State and the people of Argentina."
According to official information, Morales was summoned to a dinner at the Olivos residence.
The meeting was also attended by the secretary general of the Central de Trabajadores de Argentina (CTA) and national deputy, Hugo Yasky, and his peer on the bench, Eduardo Valdés, close to both the President and the vice president.
But what generated outrage was not the meeting itself, but how it was carried out.
It is that the basic measures to avoid coronavirus infections were not respected
, despite the many requests of the president to comply with the care to prevent the disease.
According to the own photo that Valdés uploaded to his Facebook profile and also published by the Presidency, it
was noted that none of the leaders was wearing the chinstrap and social distance was not respected.
Meanwhile, through his official Twitter account, Morales expressed "deep gratitude to brother Alberto (Fernández) for his efforts to save our lives" and expressed his "appreciation" to the "Argentine people for their solidarity" and added: "¡¡ We are Patria Grande! ".
According to Morales' press office, at dinner the former Bolivian president remembered Néstor Kichner "for his friendship and support for the process of change in Bolivia," and expressed his "affection and gratitude" to the late former president and vice president Cristina Fernández.
Fernández also confirmed that he will accompany him on November 5 in a ceremony in the province of Jujuy in which his return to Bolivian land will be formalized after long months of exile in the country, according to sources close to the meeting told Télam.
But it is not the first time that something similar has happened with the Argentine president.
He also did it at the end of August, when he received Hugo Moyano at the Quinta de Olivos.
Alberto Fernández and Hugo Moyano met in Olivos, without respecting the distance due to coronavirus.
The head of the truck drivers went with his wife, Liliana Zulet, and their youngest son, Jerónimo.
The first lady, Fabiola Yañez, was also there.
They were all very close to each other, smiling, without masks.
Then the unionist erased the image, after harsh questioning.
But it was too late.
The photo began to circulate strongly on social networks and some even doubted that the image was old,
something that was denied.
