Tartous-Sana
Engineer Mohamed Ibrahim, director of the Tartous poultry facility, indicated that the facility continues to produce eggs and put them on the market at competitive prices and with high quality, despite the existence of production difficulties represented by the high prices of imported feed materials, which constitute 75 percent of the production cost.
Ibrahim pointed out in a statement to the SANA Economic Bulletin that eggs are marketed through two outlets that sell directly to citizens at the facility's headquarters and in the new garage area according to the pricing issued by the Internal Trade Directorate in Tartous at prices below the market by about 10 percent in addition to securing the public sector's need of the material .
He explained that the value of the facility’s sales from the beginning of the current year until the end of September amounted to 997 million pounds resulting from the sale of eggs and coordinated chicken cohorts in addition to chicken droppings.
