Telephone and written contacts with the father of the family
The prosecutor also announced that several telephone and written contacts had been established between the terrorist and the father, who had posted a video on social networks, calling for mobilization against Samuel Paty after a course on the cartoons of Muhammad in which, he said, had assisted his daughter.

The investigation has shown that the controversy initiated by

The daughter of Brahim C., the pupil's parent, did not attend Samuel Paty's civic education class.
The exclusion of the latter was also unrelated to the course of the teacher killed and was related to behavior problems.
In addition, the college student was not in the 4th grade who attended Samuel Paty's free speech class on October 5.

The prosecutor also confirmed that the assassination of Samuel Paty is part of a "
context of calls for murders
" launched since the republication of the cartoons of Muhammad by
Charlie Hebdo in
early September before the opening of the trial of the January 2015 attacks in Paris.
Jean-François Ricard notably mentioned the chopper attack perpetrated on September 25 in front of the former premises of Charlie Hebdo and “
three communications
” from Al-Qaeda and its Yemeni branch which called for the “
murder
” of those who had been to the origin of the redistribution of these drawings.

Finally, the terrorist sent an audio message in Russian on social networks after posting the photo of his victim, AFP learned from a source close to the case.
