"Hong Kong 01" integrates the passenger routes of Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon. Cathay Pacific had 96 routes around the world before the epidemic, while Dragonair's routes were about half of Cathay Pacific, with 46 routes, all of which were Asian countries/regions, but were affected by the epidemic , Cathay Pacific’s routes have been significantly reduced by about 70%.

Before the epidemic, Cathay Pacific had 96 passenger routes covering Asia, Europe, and North America. However, due to the implementation of “customs closure” measures due to the epidemic, the aviation and tourism industries fell into a cold winter. Reduced by about 70%, European routes only fly to Amsterdam in the Netherlands, Frankfurt in Germany and London in the United Kingdom.

With the suspension of Dragonair operations, Cathay Pacific’s handling of Dragonair’s existing aircraft is a major issue. As of June 30 this year, Cathay Pacific has 86 aircraft. The average age of Cathay Pacific’s aircraft is 8.9 years, including leased aircraft.

Dragonair has 28 aircraft with an average age of 15.8 years, which is 6.9 years older than Cathay Pacific aircraft.
