(CNN Spanish) -
The Brazilian Ministry of Health announced this Wednesday on its Twitter account that it had been confirmed that the owner of that portfolio, Eduardo Pazuello, had covid-19.
The minister "was subjected to clinical medical examinations that confirmed the diagnosis of covid-19," the Ministry wrote, adding that he is "stable."
The positive diagnosis, the tweet indicated, was made Tuesday night.
However, minutes after the first tweet, the Ministry said on its social network account that, although Pazuello had performed a PCR test, the "result has not yet been released."
They add that the minister is at his residence and is being monitored "by a multi-professional team."

If his positive diagnosis of coronavirus is confirmed, Pazuello would be one of several members of President Jair Bolsonaro's political environment who have tested positive for the virus.
The president himself had the virus weeks ago.
