On Wednesday, as expected, the Covid 19 traffic light jumped to yellow in Erdinger Land.

Erding - The seven-day incidence rose within one day from 34.8 to 41.3 new infections within a week, based on 100,000 inhabitants.
This brings the district dangerously close to the second warning level (50).

District Administrator Martin Bayerstorfer informed about the measures to be taken with the first warning level and the local infection rate at a press conference.

The district office will publish a list of all places that require a mask, including downtown Erdingen.

Bars have to close at 11 p.m., gas stations are no longer allowed to sell alcohol, and alcohol consumption in public is prohibited.
There are no hotspots in Erding
But there is also encouraging news.

Sibylle Borgo, head of the health department, reported that there were no hotspots.
The infection takes place mainly in families, at work and in closer private surroundings.
She is not aware of parties as super-spreader events.
Some of the cases that tested positive were already in quarantine.
Bayerstorfer is particularly pleased “that there have been no infections in schools and daycare centers in the past few months”.
Nursing homes and asylum seekers' homes are currently not affected.
Contact discovery is going well
Borgo explained that the contact investigation still works "very well".
Twelve people worked in the contact tracing team, ten of them full-time.
According to the district administrator, up to 70 contacts are determined per person.

Bayerstorfer assured that the screening center was well equipped for an increased number of tests.
