The General Authority of Daraa Hospital has created a new section for medical isolation dedicated to patients with Corona, and it consists of 24 separate beds with its equipment and services from the rest of the body.
The Director General of the Authority, Dr. Bassam Al-Hariri, stated in a statement to the SANA reporter that the new department was designated for obstetrics and was approved as an isolation department after the completion of the rehabilitation work of the body's obstetrics and gynecology hospital, indicating that the authority, within the framework of strengthening the procedures for dealing with the Corona virus, previously created two rooms for medical isolation within the Department of Interior, including 12 beds and 14 breathers.
He added that the authority is currently strengthening measures to combat the Corona virus by sterilizing surfaces and corridors, enhancing personal protection methods, securing points for the auditors to diverge, and allocating seats to ensure non-transmission of infection.
And he indicated that the authority supported the immunity of the authority's workers through the regular flu vaccine, the first survey and the rapid detection of patients' contacts.
He explained that the authority is continuing to conduct awareness-raising lectures for medical personnel to show how to deal with Corona patients, in addition to thermal scanning for workers and auditors.
With regard to the Operations Department, Hariri said that the Operations Department, like the rest of the Commission, was completely destroyed as a result of terrorism, indicating that the rehabilitation work, which includes 11 operating rooms, ended with the support of the United Nations Development Program.
The head of the nurse at the authority Rami Awad confirmed that the authority has a medical cadre that deals with all cases, especially cases of suspected corona infection, indicating that the patient receives the necessary medical and nursing care, as well as conducting the necessary swabs for suspected cases.
The isolation nurse, Muhammad Ramadan, stated that his work is limited to taking swabs for suspected cases of Coronavirus and giving the necessary treatment for cases accepted within the medical isolation department.
