Crisis group Continental: "Rampensau" wanted as new boss

CEO Elmar Degenhart stumbles through the crisis. The restructuring plan for the badly ailing group does not change anything, according to which 30,000 jobs are to be cut. Now the boss could be replaced.

Degenhart and Reinhart presented the restructuring plan previously approved by the Supervisory Board.

30,000 jobs are on the brink at the auto supplier, 13,000 of them in Germany;

a tire plant in Aachen and an electronics production facility in Karben are completely shut down.

The managers wanted to know why they stopped investing.

Was it really necessary to close the factories?

And, it was asked in writing and anonymously why no conclusions were drawn on the board.

The last question may soon become redundant.

The Conti tip should be rebuilt.

And a possible successor for Degenhart is already being sought.
