Guillermo Pereyra
, former secretary general of the
Centro de Employees de Comercio (CEC)
of Mendoza, and former national deputy and former provincial legislator, died this Tuesday when
his car collided head-on
with a truck.
According to sources from the Provincial Security Ministry informed Télam, there was "an accident between a truck and a car, and an explosion has been generated", on National Route No. 7, in the town of
Luján de Cuyo
, in front of the Factory Potatoes (Simplot).
The incident occurred at 7:30 p.m., and official sources confirmed "the death of the driver of the minor vehicle", who they identified as
Guillermo Pereyra (67)
, driver of the Volkswagen Vento, domain AB-909-DJ, who was circulating on Route 7 of West to East.

Pereyra, who was in charge of OSECAC (the Social Work of Commercial Employees) was
returning from the Gran Hotel Uspallata

Pereyra was a historical leader of Peronism from Mendoza and was at the head of the CEC for 19 years (until 2017).

The governor of Mendoza, Rodolfo Suárez, expressed on his Twitter account: "I deeply regret the death of Guillermo Pereyra,
a great leader

Meanwhile, Senator Julio Cobos, also on that social network, said: "I deeply regret the tragic death of Guillermo. A
