The French government has ordered the closure of a mosque and the dismantling of a Hamas-backed organization as part of an intensifying struggle against radical Islam in the country following the teacher's horrific assassination in the Paris suburbs.

"Our citizens are looking forward to the actions," President Emanuel Macron said last night during a tour of the Paris suburbs.

"We will step up these efforts."

Samuel Patti, the history teacher who presented a lesson in illustrations by the Prophet Muhammad as part of a discussion on freedom of expression, will receive a national recognition ceremony tonight (Wednesday).

Since his head was decapitated on Friday night, police have carried out dozens of raids and seven detainees, including two minors, will appear in court today to fight terrorism and are expected to stand trial.

Nine other suspects were released last night.

In addition, the authorities want to deport from France 231 foreign nationals who are on the government watch list for extremists.

Patty, 47, was attacked on Friday on his way home from middle school where he taught at Confalen-Saint-Honorin, a suburb in northwest Paris.

He has been on a hate campaign online since showing his students the cartoons of Muhammad, the same pictures that led to the massacre at the offices of satirical magazine Charlie the Bedouin in January 2015.

Tonight Macron will host the teacher's family and about 400 people at Sorbonne University The highest decoration in France.

Earlier this week, tens of thousands marched in solidarity demonstrations across the country.

The terrorist, 18-year-old Abdullah Anzorov, a native of Chechnya, was shot dead by police near the scene.

The investigation revealed that he corresponded on WhatsApp with a teacher of one of Patti's students, who posted outrageous messages on social media in the days leading up to the attack.

The father's messages were widely shared on the network, including by a mosque in the suburb of Pentine in northern Paris.

The head of the mosque, Muhammad Hanish, said he shared the video for fear that marked Muslim students in the classroom and in the mosque deleted it after the attack and condemned it.

However, the government decided to close its mosque for half a year.

Macron also said that the Sheikh Yassin Collective, named after one of Hamas leaders Ahmad Yassin, would be disbanded due to his "direct involvement" in the assassination.

An official decision will be made at a cabinet meeting today.

The organization's founder, extremist preacher 'Abd al-Hakam Safrivi, is one of the detainees, after posting a YouTube video in which he attacks Patti.

Macron even added an international dimension to his counter-terrorism efforts when he asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to strengthen cooperation in the fight against terrorism during a conversation yesterday.

Russia denies any connection to the terrorist, saying that Anzorov had never been in contact with officials in the country and that his successor had left Russia more than a decade ago.

They sought refugee status in France.

Under pressure from his right-wing political rivals for not being firm enough against terrorism, Macron launched an action against what he calls "Islamist separatism" - an attempt by sections of the Muslim community in France to impose their religious way of life on their communities instead of the state's traditional values.

The Muslim community in France, the largest in Europe, numbers about 10% of the total population.

Parts of the Muslim community in France claim they experience racism and discrimination because of their faith, and some have strongly condemned the attack.

Hassan Shlagumi, an imam at a mosque in Drancy on the outskirts of Paris, said Patti was a "martyr of freedom of expression" and called on mosques across France to pray for him this coming Friday.

He warned against Islamic extremism and called on parents not to spread hatred against France.

Social media is on target

Patti's beheading was the second stabbing attack linked to the publication of Muhammad's illustrations, since the trial began last month of aides to the attack on Charlie Hebdo's offices.

Twelve people, including illustrators, were then killed by two brothers who were training with al-Qaeda.

The magazine republished the controversial cartoons with the start of the trial.

At the same time, some of the social networks have come up for discussion again after some of the great outrage directed against Patti Luba on Facebook.

His colleagues said in a statement that they feared the impact of social networks, which they called a "real disaster" against their profession.

Following the shock of the teacher murder, which was perceived as an attack on the freedom of expression and the secular nature of the republic, the government promised to formulate a new criminal offense, which would punish anyone who endangers another person by publishing his details online.

The ministers held talks with the heads of social networks in France to discuss the fight against "cyber-Islamism".

"The enemy is here," French Prime Minister Jean Castex said during a ceremony honoring Patti in parliament.

"Extremist Islam has infiltrated our society based on tolerance."

He urged them to pass the law proposed by the ministers to combat violence on social networks.

"I'm Samuel."

Sherley Bedouin plans to release their next edition under the title "The Decapitated Republic," along with illustrations representing various professions.

"These killers want to decapitate democracy itself," read the magazine's editorial published today.

However, another newspaper has already said it has received threats. A journalist from La Noble Republic said that threats had been received on social media after the publication of Muhammad's illustration on his front page.
