The proposed law registered in the Congress of Deputies regarding the modification of the procedure for electing the so-called judicial members of the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) is being the subject of intense criticism in legal terms, read constitutional.
I do not propose to expand here on the problems of internal constitutionality that, if said proposal were to succeed, would haunt the resulting organic law.
In essence, I agree with what was argued by Manuel Aragón in these same pages ("The Constitution does not allow it").
