According to the new report, there are significant differences: Corona patients are 19 times more likely to experience acute respiratory distress syndrome than influenza patients and twice as likely to have to go to an intensive care unit. They are also five times more likely to die than flu patients, and also Their hospital stay is three times longer and the extent of the complications is greater and affects more organs.

Meanwhile, in Europe the second wave is hitting hard, and the closures seem to be expanding daily and on Tuesday Ireland became the first country in the EU to declare a national closure for the second time.

The closure, which does not include essential schools and businesses, will last for six weeks from Wednesday midnight, but cafes will be able to make pick-ups and deliveries.

As part of the closure, up to two households will be able to hold a "bubble" and spend time together outside.

In Italy, which was among the hotspots of the first wave, the harsh sights are again feared following a severe increase in hospitalizations in the province of Lombardy in the north.

It was therefore decided in the district to impose a night curfew until 13 November in addition to the closure of shopping centers on weekends.

In some parts of the Bavarian state of Germany, an almost complete closure was also announced.

In the UK Boris Johnson announced yesterday that he intends to impose further restrictions on Greater Manchester and the north of England, despite opposition from residents and mayors, who claim they have not received adequate compensation.

Yesterday also tripled the number of deaths from the virus compared to Monday in the UK (241 versus 80) and another 21,331 positive carriers were reported.

At the same time, in Belgium it was decided to reduce non-emergency medical care due to the surge in corona cases.

The situation in the country is the second most severe on the continent, after the Czech Republic, and the number of patients in intensive care doubles every eight days.
