Two questions and a clear conclusion: The submarine farce indicates the demise of the government
The opposition's proposal would have seemed hopeless, but Levin and Zohar did not see the future and Netanyahu was not ashamed to interrupt the Corona cabinet meeting.
The Knesset's legal advice will decide on the issue in accordance with two main questions, and it is estimated that it will end in the High Court. One clear conclusion: the coalition is dying and the elections are imminent.

The drama today (Wednesday) in the Knesset plenum, which approved the proposal of MK Tamar Zandberg (Meretz) and Yesh Atid-Telam to establish a parliamentary committee of inquiry into the submarine affair, may be decided in the legal arena and add fuel to the authorities' war.
After the vote rushed Speaker, Yariv Levin, turn it off. The debate over whether a position has the authority to cancel the vote, can be solved if they find answers to two key questions.
One question concerns the nature of the voting: Does the government wanted to hold a roll call before electronic voting began? According to coalition chairman Mickey Zohar, the answer is yes.
Another question is whether the chairman of the coalition has any authority to request a name vote on behalf of the government or whether this authority was given only to a minister or deputy minister who is currently in the Knesset plenum.
These two questions are now being considered by the Knesset. .
One thing is undisputed: the debate between the coalition and the opposition would not have been born if Levin and Zohar had seen the past.
The two did not expect that this was a proposal with a high explosiveness, one that should be taken too seriously from any ordinary opposition proposal.

Ostensibly, the vote on the establishment of a commission of inquiry was, without a real chance. MKs of blue and white announced in advance will be absent, in an attempt to avoid a situation in which they are voting against the election promise their important - and embarrassing themselves. Likud were to mobilize the members of the coalition, as stated, to bring down the offer plenary.
In practice, ministers and Knesset members did not appear in plenary: some were In the discussions of the Corona Cabinet and others, there was a delay in the Knesset corridors.

Levin sought to replace his deputy Abbas who chaired the meeting, announced the cancellation of the first ballot, and held a re-vote.
The opposition boycotted the second vote, and the plenum rejected the establishment of the commission of inquiry.

Blue and white members were absent, Likud members did not show up and Netanyahu was not ashamed for a moment when he interrupted a Corona cabinet meeting to send his ministers to thwart a commission of inquiry that could have hurt him politically.
If the elections have already been forced on the citizens of Israel, it is better that they go ahead - and soon.
