Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said tonight (Thursday) that he intends to bring before the Corona Cabinet a proposal to tighten the fines imposed on violators of the restrictions.

In a video he shared on his Twitter account, Netanyahu warns of a loosening of public discipline regarding corona restrictions, given the relative decline in morbidity, and threatened that fines for educational institutions developed in violation of regulations would be increased.

Netanyahu hinted that the ultra-Orthodox sector would be particularly harmed: "Next week in the cabinet, I am going to take further steps against violators of the guidelines, including heavy fines on educational institutions that are opened without a permit. It is not against anyone, it is against something - against the virus, against the disease. I Looking forward to everyone's cooperation without exception. "

The proposal to increase the fines was raised by Health Minister Edelstein, after it became clear that among the ultra-Orthodox, Talmud Torah and yeshivot were opened in violation of the guidelines.

He explained that there is a gap between the careful decisions of the Corona Cabinet, and what is happening on the ground, of violating guidelines on the part of educational institutions and businesses.

He says, "The Corona virus is not a cyclist. It can go up just as fast as it goes down, if it breaks or we do not know how to enforce. There is a gap between the corona cabinet's cautious decisions and what is happening on the ground, of violating guidelines by educational institutions and businesses. "The Corona cabinet has an offer to increase the fines strictly. It is impossible for someone who is righteous to be bad to him and others to be good to them."

The Corona Cabinet meeting held yesterday ended without a decision on further easing at this stage, and the next meeting is expected to convene most likely on Sunday.
