In the video: Netanyahu - I will bring to approval the increase in fines against those who violate guidelines (Walla! NEWS system)

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said this evening (Thursday) that he intends to bring before the Corona Cabinet a proposal to tighten fines imposed on violators of the restrictions.

In a video he shared on his Twitter account, Netanyahu warns of a loosening of public discipline regarding corona restrictions, given the relative decline in morbidity, and threatened that fines for educational institutions developed in violation of regulations would be increased.

He praised the cooperation of the public during the closure, saying that "Israel was in first place in the world and in Europe in terms of morbidity, and today we are almost in last place, and still going down. And yet, not everyone cooperates. So next week in the Cabinet The guidelines, including heavy fines against educational institutions that are opened without permission. "

Netanyahu added, "It is not intended against anyone, it is intended against something: the virus, the disease. Without exception."

The Corona Cabinet meeting held yesterday ended without a decision on further easing at this stage.

The main discussion between the ministers dealt with the question of whether the exit from the quarantine would be in nine stages according to the outline of the Ministry of Health, or in an abbreviated outline with fewer stages while changing the order of steps.

Early next week there will be another hearing to make a decision.

Since the closure ended and the decision to ease the restrictions, ultra-Orthodox educational institutions have decided to return the students.

This, in violation of the Gelbhas since the general education system remained closed.

In recent days, there have been discussions about the sanctions that should be imposed on those institutions, along with the formulation of an outline for returning to school.

Meanwhile, ahead of the discussion in the cabinet, Finance Minister Israel Katz addressed tonight in a live broadcast on Facebook the details of the grant program that is being formed for the unemployed.

"We are now preparing a NIS 2,000 grant for the unemployed. It is aimed at those who were unemployed for at least 100 days during this period, and an incentive is given to return to work for the employee in four installments in which his salary will be compared to what he received earlier."
