New aid for the cultural sector

While in most countries, cinemas and theaters have lowered the curtain, the Minister of Culture, Roselyne Bachelot, announced that nearly 115 million additional euros would be injected to support live shows and cinemas


We cannot say that the government is not behind the cultural sector.

Just before the press conference announcing the extension of the number of departments affected by the curfew, the Prime Minister, Jean Castex, took care to receive the representatives of the cinema and the performing arts.

"He told us that we were the first victims of the curfew, but that he could not make a cultural exception otherwise we would also have to make a culinary exception"
