The Corona traffic light is red, the number of cases continues to rise in the district.

This also has an impact on the Peitinger municipal council.

Although they want to stick to the Sparkasse hall as a meeting place for the time being, the rules are tightened.

Peiting

- So far, there has been no mask requirement at meetings of the Peiting municipal council.

Anyone who wanted - regardless of whether they were a visitor or a local councilor - could enter the Sparkassensaal without a mouth and nose protection.

That changes from now on.

"The mask is now compulsory," says Mayor Peter Ostenrieder when asked by Schongauer Nachrichten.

As of now, it will apply on the way into the hall, whether a mouth and nose protection will have to be worn at the next meeting next Tuesday, depends on the further development.

In any case, moving chairs is popular.

In order to be able to guarantee the distances in the rather small hall better than last, the tables of the councilors are pushed apart and the visitor seats are relocated to the foyer.

"That means that everyone is safely two meters apart," says Ostenrieder.

To do this, you will ventilate regularly.

The mayor does not want to shake the Sparkassensaal as a meeting place for the time being.

In the spring at the beginning of the Corona crisis, the committee first moved to the Schloßberghalle and later to the triple hall as a precaution.

But they are now used again for events and sports.

"We'll only do that if all else fails."
