The world soprano soprano Sumaya Hallaq flew between the worlds of East and West during the classic evening hosted by the Drama Theater at Dar Al Assad for Culture and Arts.

The soprano Sumaya, who lives in Switzerland, is keen to hold opera parties during her frequent visit to her motherland, so that today's evening comes a message challenging the current conditions and the reality that the world is experiencing due to the spread of the Corona pandemic.

She performed with her operatic voice on the evening in which she was accompanied by the pianist Fadi Djebili, a mixture of Western compositions, beginning with Arya by Brunhilde from the opera "Segerd", followed by "Songs of the Wandering Companion" by Gustave Mahler and the song "Farewell Arab Hostess" by the French composer Georges Bizet.

Then the soprano Sumaya moved to the audience of Dar al-Assad to her eastern station in the evening, where she performed the song “Kitty Lei” by the author Iyad Kanaan, followed by the song “Arya Kavatine Belqis” from the “Queen of Sheba” opera, to reach the last stop of her journey for this evening with the song “Baadak on Bali” by the Rahbani brothers .

It is noteworthy that Sumaya Hallaq Soprano Dramatic studied music in Geneva, then at the Queen Elizabeth Academy in Brussels and at the Copenhagen City Opera at the hands of great European musicians. She participated in many concerts and operas by senior composers and founded a duet with the cellist Susan Fermien.
