US National Intelligence Chief John Ratcliffe announced tonight (Thursday) that an attempt has been identified by Russia and Iran to intervene in the 2020 presidential election.
Ratcliffe made the remarks at a news conference attended by FBI Director Christopher Ray about two weeks before the election.
"We have confirmed that voter registration information has been obtained by Iran, and separately, by Russia," Ratcliffe said.
"Iran is sending fake emails designed to intimidate voters, create social unrest and hurt President Trump," he said.
