A terrible accident occurred this Thursday around 12:20 in Poissy.
The wall of a gymnasium reserve that housed holiday activities in which 27 children aged 6 to 11 participated partially collapsed, leaving two seriously injured.
Numerous rescue vehicles immediately attended the scene.
The two small victims, a boy and a girl aged 7 and 6, were taken with absolute urgency and under police escort to Necker hospital (Paris XVe).
A security perimeter has been set up and the area closed to traffic.
The Patrick Caglione sports complex, built in the early 1990s on the edge of a small group of buildings, hosts various activities.
It includes a judo room, a boxing room and another for gymnastics as well as a multisport room dedicated to team sports.
Although none of these facts have a direct relationship, Poissy has suffered in recent years a series of similar accidents: the collapse of the wall of the rue de la Tourelle in March 2013 which left one seriously injured: a child 12-year-old buried under stones as she walked on the sidewalk, then the fall of part of the prison wall in March 2019, which did not cause her any bodily harm.
